Martin Orton

Co-Founder and Creative Director

A passionate champion of innovation, Martin is a creative leader heading up Bold’s specialist team of designers, animators and developers. Since founding Bold Creative in 2004, Martin has broken new ground in reaching young people, through innovation and creativity across all digital platforms. Martin has won 15 international awards including an RTS Gold, a UNICEF award, a Promax Gold, two BAFTAs and the coveted Prix Jeunesse Award.

Kelly Turner
Kelly Turner

Managing Director

A marketing and branding specialist with 25 years’ experience, Kelly started her career in the charity sector, developing press and publicity strategies for Oxfam and WaterAid. She then headed the marketing team for both BAFTA award-winning channels at BBC Children’s.  And now at Bold, Kelly has worked with such diverse clients as the RNLI, NSPCC, Amnesty International, Google and Vodafone helping them with brand strategy, stakeholder and senior account management. Kelly blends strategic rigour with creative instinct to get game-changing results for Bold clients.

Jayne Orton

Jayne is a strategic and creative marketer with more than 15 years’ experience in FMCG, broadcast media and the third sector, marketing such high profile brands as CBBC, CBeebies, RNLI and University of Winchester. Creatively building on audience insight and working with teams and stakeholders to deliver those brave new ideas is part of what makes Jayne an award-winning leader.

Digital Director

Chris specialises in development across multiple platforms, building applications for mobile devices, tablets, browsers, desktop and TV. He’s also a skilled web and digital product designer. He knows every nook and cranny of the disciplines and technologies, which means everything he delivers is intelligent, considered and creative.

Senior Designer & Art Director

Not one to idly sit by and watch the world move on without him, Mark applies his 20 years of experience to digital design interfaces, and has built a career in both print and digital . It’s this variety that provides Mark with a wide skill set, on which he draws to make each project run smoothly and collaboratively without missing those vital opportunities for creative sparks.

James (or Jimmy) has been working with design challenges for the public sector and advertising, fashion, publishing, and music industries for nearly 20 years. At Bold Jimmy works with clients to understand their vision, their challenge and their audience to create outstanding designs that reflect their ambitions.

Abby Jones
Abby Jones

Research Director

Abby has a track record of over 20 years’ experience in qualitative research, and has worked as a qualitative director at various research agencies before joining Bold. She’s always enjoyed building insight approaches that allow young people to share their honest opinions in creative ways, and as a natural facilitator, Abby is able to  expertly uncover the thoughts and ideas of young people.
