Our first iPad App The Heart & The Bottle makes The Sun's no.1 "Great Children's book". With the marketing push for the App primarily through digital marketing and social media, the 'Appy Reading' feature was the first major acknowledgement in a national tabloid. The App also featured as Apple's 'App of The Week' for iPad in January 2011, in addition to no. 1 in 'New & Noteworthy' Apps in the UK, Canada & Australia App Stores. Download PDF

The project teaches them about propaganda then gives them the skills to create their own videos mixing extremist videos with their own counter views. Download PDF
Find Your Talent, East End Life, 2009
 
Tower Hamlets council, as part of the Find Your Talent initiative, arranged the Young People’s Festival of Talent in Bethnal Green. The festival was an opportunity for the young people involved in this scheme to sample an array of different cultural activities. The Tagwagon was present throughout the two-day festival in order to record the young people’s opinions. Download PDF

Stealth Learning / Not For Good, The Guardian, June 2008
 
Bold creative, in partnership with Futurelab, spend the day at Channel 4 with teens from organizations such as the Uptown Youth Group promoting ‘stealth learning’. The day was part of an initiative to enable young people to gain confidence through participatory media. The positive effects of this ongoing project are already becoming clear. This particular day saw them molding their own mobile devices and producing a television commercial. Download PDF

Faith in the city, East End Life, April 2008
 

An article talking about “Faith in the City“ the Japanese manga style animation created about what it means to be a British Muslim in Tower Hamlets. Martin Orton, managing director of Bold Creative, notes “We work closely with a wide variety of youth groups across Tower Hamlets and find that an animation is a unique way to engage young people of all ages on a wide range of subjects and makes the documentary much more accessible in itself.” Rupon Miah, a senior youth worker at St Hilda’s community centre in Bethnal Green also commends the project, noting that: “Faith in the city is a great way for people to see and discuss what it’s like being a Muslim in Tower Hamlets.”

Working at the Streets of Growth community centre, Martin Orton from Bold Creative, talks about using Tagmap, the website where you can visit an aerial photo of an area and mark it up with your personal opinions and experiences. The blue skies research body Futurelab are working on creating a similar mechanism on PDAs using Createascape.  Download PDF
